Fond memories of Tullah's

Back in the mid 70's, I would attend a late movie with a friend and we would visit Tullah's afterwards. An intimate gathering place two stories up on America's Cup Avenue. Tullah's elegant portrait was on the wall behind the counter and she herself would serve exotic concoctions of fresh fruit drinks, teas, coffee and desserts. We would play backgammon, chess or checkers while engaging conversation in a pleasant smoke free environment. It was welcome respite from the hectic paced routine of smoky bars that had overtaken the town.
